Bali’s Holy and Sacred Waters

I understand that this post will likely p*ss off a lot of people but I really feel to express this as I’ve been holding on to it for a long time…

Everyone thinks that Bali’s waters are so holy and pure… and I can’t dispute that once upon a time they were.

I have connected with the deep roots of Bali. From ancient times. From Lemuria/Mu.

It WAS pristine and it still looks beautiful today but it is not clean or pure.

I have written before of the blood sacrifices of animals on the steps of the temples… of the blood that flows into the lake that is “so sacred” that “we must not touch the water there”. (Information shared with me by a Temple Elder).

Yet this very same sacred water is littered with trash… and scum floats on the surface.

These waters that I speak of, are the waters of Kintamani Caldera Lake which flow through the irrigation channels and underground into other various springs as well as to some of the neighbouring water temples like Pura Ulun Danu Batur.

The food being grown then, is irrigated by this water that carries the energy of many blood sacrifices and trash.

You might argue that the water becomes filtered as it works its way through the irrigation channels and it may be, but that doesn’t remove bacteria or amoeba and it doesn’t clean the energy or shift the frequency of the water that carries a signature of death within it.

Let’s look too at beautiful Mount Agung.

IT’S water flows down directly to some of the popular water temples – most loved by spiritual tourists.

Tirta Empul for example.

It is said that the water here is holy and that “You can drink the holy water if comes directly from the water fountain”.

“Rituals conducted here involve immersing yourself in the holy water while reciting prayers and mantras, with the belief that it will cleanse the body, mind, and soul”.

Shift your perspective and believe what you want to believe of this water but the truth is that it is not clean. It is dirty water.

Our driver (who is also one of the Village Elders) told us that they NEVER drink the water in Bali unless it has been boiled or sterilised first.

There are a group of guys and gals doing amazing work trying to clean up the waterways all over Bali and Java because the amount of waste that is thrown into the gutters and gulleys all over Bali by its locals (and probably by visitors too) is OFF THE CHARTS.

Just take a look as you drive along…

Because all of the rubbish gets washed down into the waterways and into the oceans. Vast amounts of plastic, dead animals, shoes, humans waste, you name it, its in the same waterways that flow down into some of these “holy springs”.

Sacred water, holy springs do not have a separate clean waterway to flow down through. They are all contaminated.

This literally blows my mind! 🤯

It is so logical and obvious to me yet people are blind.

You can tell them anything and they’ll believe you! They’re so gullible. (visitors and locals alike)

“Oh yes, this is a sacred spring, it’s blessed by all the garbage upstream, but bathe in it and you will become so spiritual and cleansed” (I’m being facitious of course but come on people, open your eyes!) 🤦‍♀️

I’m sorry to burst your bubble all you holy people but truth is truth.

The water is not clean and whilst many of the people there are beautiful souls and mean well how can you tell me that they respect the holy water when they throw their garbage into it and desecrate it in this way?

Where is the respect for this water of this (once) sacred land?

Where is the true connection and reverence with spirit?

Again, I have complete respect for the people trying to clean the waterways and bring awareness to this huge problem but if you think the water is pure and sacred there PLEASE take off your blinkers!

Let’s keep in touch!
