I got to a certain point in my development where I realised that I just didn’t need more information… and I didn’t need another certificate… or more training.
Of course you can keep going with all of that… I see women do that all the time and it often relates to a belief that “I am not enough”, so they try to fill themselves with more and more and more, so that people can see that they are enough.
Basically, you can study different modalities and practices forever if you want to but I believe that if you are genuinely doing the work on yourself, there comes a point where you just don’t need that anymore.
You’ve been there. You’ve done that.
You already know what works for you and what doesn’t and most importantly what feels right and what doesn’t.
And I think the biggest realisation that comes at that point – or it certainly was for me anyway… is this:
No one is coming to do this for you. Another coach, or course or “new thing” that you sign up for isn’t going to suddenly making everything “work” in your life.
And the truth is, that you already know what you need to do.
But that’s the part that can feel uncomfortable – really uncomfortable sometimes…
Because once you see that clearly, you really can’t go back to not seeing it. And if you trying to, then you also know that you are lying to yourself and trying to ignore that voice inside that’s raising the red flag.
You can try to fool yourself by telling yourself that you just need more time, or more clarity, or more information – but you know that’s not the truth.
You know that what’s actually required now… is you.
You showing up for yourself.
You actually acting on what you already know… and stepping into it.
And especially, catching those moments where you override yourself…
because those moments matter more than we realise – more than we would comfortably like to own.
And when you begin to stay with that knowing – even just a little more each time -well then thats when things do start to change.
Not because you’ve found something new, but because you’re no longer avoiding what you already know to be true.
This is something I see come up a lot in the work I do with women inside Sanctuary.
Once they really make that commitment to themselves, they actually do start to move forwards from that place.
Then, things can’t help but change because the old patterns just don’t quite hold in the same way anymore. And instead of going round in circles, they actually start to move forwards.
And that’s where things begin to open up… and that’s when their life really begins to move in a completely new and exciting direction
